MORTGAGE BROKERs VS BANKS
Brokers typically have access to more types of loans and programs than a big bank. Whether it is a Jumbo loan, a Conventional loan, a 15 year fixed rate mortgage, a 30 year loan, or simply a borrower with bad credit.A major bank such as a Bank of America may offer only conventional mortgages or Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgages.
A Mortgage Broker will provide you with a more personalized loan experience and secure you a much better mortgage program that gives you a real solution to your problem. Every real estate loan is different and can offer benefits if needing a low down payment, if you have limited credit history, or need a no closing costs mortgage. Some loans can even be arranged to help you to avoid mortgage insurance.
You won’t always be provided direct access to your mortgage banker but most likely you will have direct access to your mortgage broker. Your mortgage broker offers wholesale rates which can be lower than retail interest rates that banks offer and this will provide you a lower monthly mortgage payment.
